M. Kemal Cılız

Board Member

He graduated from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Middle East Technical University. Dr. M.Kemal Cılız received his master’s and doctoral degrees from Syracuse University in the USA. He also holds a Master’s degree in Finance and Economics from Yale University, USA. Between 1989 and 1990, Cılız worked as a systems engineer at the Engineering Services Department of Borg Warner in New York. After returning to Turkey in 1991, he began working as an associate professor at Bogazici University Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department, received the title of Professor in 2004.

Since 1992, has served as a consultant to companies operating in the information technologies,automation and the telecommunications sector in Turkey. From 1993 to 1994 he worked as a researcher at the University of California, Berkeley and Yale University in the USA. Dr. Cılız was one of the founding partners of two companies, which was established in 1995 to serve in the fields of Internet Service Provider and network and information security.

At the same time, Cılız was one of the founders of the first private company formation for the certification of digital signature in Turkey (Tursign Inc.), and worked in the esablishment process of Global One Turkey between the years and worked as sales support, engineering and operations services director. Between 2000-2002, he took part in the management of Comnet A.Ş. In 2009, Cılız was one of the founding partners of Callpex Call Center. He is currently the chairman of Callpex, which employs approximately 1500 people in Istanbul, Bingöl and Yozgat operations. Dr. Cılız has presented papers in international conferences on information technology, automation systems, and network / information security and has published articles in foreign journals. Between the years 2012-2015 Cılız was the Chairman of the Board of TUBISAD and at the same time is a member of Turkey Informatics Foundation’s Board of Directors and is a Senior member of the International IEEE Association. Professor M. Kemal Cılız is the founding partner of Infonet and he is the chairman of the board of directors and he continues his studies at Boğaziçi University.
